1. Terms and Conditions for Parents and Students


1.1 General
 

  • The Tuition Wallah is an online home tutoring platform that helps parents and students find quality home tutors.

  • The final decision to choose a tutor for your child rests solely with you.

  • The tuition fee is to be paid to the tutor as per the mutually agreed-upon terms.


1.2 Payment & Refund
 

  • You acknowledge that you have read and understood The Tuition Wallah's refund policy.

  • If you choose to pay the tuition fee through The Tuition Wallah, an 18% GST will be applicable.

  • If you pay the tuition fee directly to the tutor, we are not responsible for any disputes, refunds, or losses incurred.

  • We are not liable for any advance payments made directly to tutors by parents or students.


1.3 Tutor Selection & Responsibility
 

  • We assist in finding tutors but do not guarantee any success in examinations or tests.

  • You are encouraged to verify the tutor’s identity proof and qualifications before starting classes.

  • Tutors should be treated with respect and dignity at all times.

  • A tutor will teach your child only if at least one parent is present at home during the class.

  • We are not responsible for any inconvenience or mishaps caused by tutors. Kindly check tutor IDs at the time of the demo.
     

1.4 Conduct & Environment
 

  • You agree to provide an environment conducive to learning.

  • If a tutor fails to deliver all or part of the planned tuition, we are not accountable for arranging a replacement or issuing a refund.

2. Terms and Conditions for Tutors
 

2.1 General
 

  • The Tuition Wallah is a home tutor marketplace connecting tutors with students and parents seeking home tuition.

  • By using this platform, you agree to accept all refund and cancellation policies, as well as the membership terms and conditions.

  • You acknowledge that your relationship with The Tuition Wallah is not an employer-employee relationship.


2.2 Responsibilities & Payments
 

  • You must issue a receipt to the parent for the tuition fee collected at the end of every month.

  • If a dispute arises regarding the number of classes conducted, The Tuition Wallah will be the final mediator, and our decision will be binding.

  • You agree to conduct yourself professionally and adhere to all applicable laws and ethical teaching standards.

  • You must conduct a demo class within 48 hours of receiving tuition details and inform us immediately if any issues arise.

  • You will teach only if at least one guardian is present at home.

  • You understand that all provided information is deemed reliable but should be independently verified.


2.3 Tutor Conduct & Policy Compliance
 

  • If you accept a tutoring assignment, you must complete it. In unavoidable circumstances, a minimum 15-day notice period is required.

  • We do not guarantee assignments in schools, colleges, or institutions. They depend on your qualifications, experience, and selection by parents/students.

  • If a tutor fails to complete three assignments in a row, registration may be canceled. A fourth chance may be given under specific circumstances.
     

2.4 Grounds for Tutor Registration Cancellation
 

Your registration as a tutor may be canceled under the following circumstances:

  • Any misbehavior with students, parents, or our team.

  • Repeated failure to fulfill assignments (three consecutive failures lead to cancellation, except under valid circumstances).

  • Long-term absence without notice.

  • Violation of the above-mentioned rules and regulations.

  • If you leave tuition mid-way after taking advance fees, parents have the right to take legal action, and your account will be terminated immediately.

3. Liability Disclaimer
 

  • We are not responsible for any advance payments made directly to tutors.

  • We are not liable for any disputes, damages, or misconduct from students, parents, or tutors.

  • All information provided on this platform should be independently verified before making any decisions.
     

4. Policy Updates
 

The Tuition Wallah reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated via our website or email.
